How we create and check our content ยท Last updated: 31 August 2026

Who writes this

Our affirmation collections and the guidance around them are produced by the Daily Affirmations editorial team โ€” the people who build and curate the app. The affirmations themselves come from the app’s situation-specific categories. The explanatory writing around them is where we take extra care, because sleep, anxiety and mental wellbeing are sensitive topics.

How we ground it

Where we explain why something helps, we rely on peer-reviewed research and reputable clinical sources, cited with links so you can check them yourself. We summarise findings in our own words and never overstate them. Examples we draw on include research on self-affirmation and the brain and on pre-sleep cognitive arousal.

Realistic, not overpromising

We write affirmations to be believable on a hard day, not to force positivity. We are explicit about limits: affirmations work on the self-talk layer and are a nightly tool, not a treatment. Chronic insomnia, anxiety or depression deserve professional care, and we say so on the pages where it matters.

Clinical review

We are establishing independent review of our wellbeing content by a licensed clinician. Until a page carries a named reviewer, treat its guidance as research-informed editorial content, not medical advice. We will never claim a review that has not happened.

Accuracy and corrections

If you spot something inaccurate or out of date, tell us and we will fix it. Contact: contact page. We date every page’s last update and revise content as evidence changes.

Transparency

Daily Affirmations is a commercial app. When our content links to the app, that is disclosed by context โ€” it is our product. We do not post anonymous endorsements of ourselves.
